Neurodevelopmental Child and Family Support

Neurodevelopmental Child and Family Support Neurodevelopmental Child and Family Support Neurodevelopmental Child and Family Support

Psychoeducation and support for families living with neurodiversity and complexity

Online | UK & International Families

This Is Me

We support sensitive, bright, curious, intense, complex and neurodivergent children and young people understand who they are.

We support parents, carers and families to respond with confidence, care, and clarity over time.

This Is Me supports families of children who have received a diagnosis, are awaiting a diagnosis or are choosing not to pursue a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.

Our service offers psychoeducation and relational child and family support.

Welcome.

You may have arrived here after noticing that there is a difference in the way your child thinks, feels, senses, behaves or copes with day to day life.

Your child may or may not have a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.

Perhaps you are waiting for a diagnostic assessment.

Maybe you are still deciding whether or not to seek a diagnostic assessment for your child.

Or you have already decided that you do not want your child to be labelled.

But with or without a diagnosis, you feel unsure about how to support your child in everyday life.

Your child fills you with wonder because they are:

  • bright
  • curious
  • sensitive
  • kind
  • analytical
  • creative
  • wise
  • funny
  • energetic
  • surprising
  • delightful

But also very intense:

  • overwhelmed; experience meltdowns similar to younger children or they have shuts down and cannot speak
  • sensitive to certain sensory inputs such as noise, lights, textures, smells, taste or touch
  • seem physically and emotionally drained and/or irritable after normal day to day activities
  • are different in how they behave at school compared with how they are at home
  • struggle with transitions
  • find it difficult to connect with peers
  • find normal day to day life difficult to manage
  • are beginning to feel that there is "something wrong" with them

If so, This Is Me was created for families like you.

Raising a child with such complexity often feels isolating and worrying.

We are glad you found us and hope we can help you feel more supported and understood as a family.

This Is Me is led by Radhika Rajbans, a Neurodevelopmental Child and Family Specialist.

This Is Me was created to offer families something Radhika felt was missing for families with or without a diagnosis of neurodivergence; space to understand, reflect and grow together, with a level of care and support that feels unhurried, containing, empowering and relational.

Radhika is currently completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute. She holds an MSc in Child Development Psychology from UCL’s Institute of Education, where her research focused on neurodiversity and education, and has trained in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Education.

Radhika brings extensive experience supporting neurodivergent and twice-exceptional children, young people and their families across a wide range of settings in the UK and internationally with:

  • cultural and intergenerational differences around neurodiversity
  • international and cross-cultural education systems
  • school, university and life transitions
  • identity development in neurodivergent children and adolescents
  • family stress, relational strain and differing expectations within families

Families describe her approach as calm, thoughtful, warm and deeply attuned. She works with care, creativity and insight, pacing sessions to each child's sensory, relational and communication needs.
